Your feet doing an amazing job of carrying us around for many hours each day. Sometimes they need a bit of attention. Nails can become difficult to cut due to the way they grown or difficult to reach. We can cut these for you.
Hard skin is a natural protection formed by our bodies. But this can become painful and removing this makes standing and walking more comfortable. If the hard skin is over a bony area it can develop into a corn. This is a lump of hard skin that sits in the callus and can be very painful – like having a stone in your shoe. These are often painless to remove but feel so much better when they are gone.
As this is a natural protection mechanism by the body the hard skin is likely to grow back over time.
Callus and corns can also grow between toes, or on top of toes. Anywhere the skin is subjected to higher pressures.
Verruca can also look like callus or corns. These are the result of a virus infection of the skin. We can also treat these.
We use a scalpel to remove the hard skin or corns and then may apply a cream or adding to the area.
