Checking blood flow using Doppler ultrasound at Colpod Therapies

People with diabetes are at risk of diabetic foot ulcers secondary to poor blood flow and/or neuropathy (numb feet).

At Colpod we use a Doppler ultrasound to check for blood flow in the feet and the monofilament to check sensation.

Podiatrists are experts in foot care and can help you prevent diabetic foot ulcer by removing excess hard skin, ingrown toenails and provided insoles to reduce high pressure points on the feet.
